The Arunachal Electronic and Digital Media Association (AEDMA) is an independent body comprising proprietors and management heads of various electronic and digital media outlets in Arunachal Pradesh. The primary objective of AEDMA is to foster a supportive and professional environment that enables digital media houses to grow, strengthen standards and thrive responsibly.

Initially, AEDMA comprised both management representatives and journalists working on the ground. However, following a major internal reformation in 2019, AEDMA was restructured into an exclusive organization representing digital media owners.

Brief History: The electronic media persons working under various Electronic Media Organizations of Arunachal Pradesh had a meeting on 29th July 2012 at Ashoka Hotel Donyi-Polo, Itanagar wherein it resolved to form an association called “Arunachal Electronic Media Association” which was presided by former veteran journalist late. Taro Chatung.

This association was formed to serve as a platform for all electronic media of Arunachal Pradesh, where all will have a better opportunity to bring unity and understanding among the electronic media fraternity of Arunachal Pradesh.

However, a general body meeting comprising both old and new members belonging to various Electronic Media Houses of Arunachal Pradesh was held on 2nd May 2014 at Arunachal Press Club Office, Itanagar presided by Late. Taro Chatung, President AEMA, where it was decided to revive AEMA and reshuffle its portfolios for a fresh tenure. The meeting reviewed each article and their clauses of the draft bye-laws of Arunachal Electronic Media Association 2012 with some modifications and finally, the general body meeting resolved to adopt the bye-laws on Friday, 2nd May 2014 at Arunachal Press Club, Itanagar.
